🎵 Playback

EchoMusic provides professional-grade playback controls, letting you enjoy music in the most comfortable way.

Basic Controls

Play / Pause

• Click the Play / Pause button on the bottom player bar
• Press the Space key (when the app has focus)
• Use system media keys (macOS Touch Bar, keyboard media keys)

Switching Tracks

• Previous: Click the ⏮ button on the player bar
• Next: Click the ⏭ button on the player bar
• Use system media shortcut keys

Volume

• Drag the volume slider on the player bar to adjust volume
• Click the volume icon to quickly mute / unmute
• Use system volume keys for synced adjustment

Progress Control

• Click or drag the progress bar on the player bar to jump to any position
• Current playback time and total duration are displayed in real time

Play Queue

The play queue manages your current and upcoming song list.

Queue Operations

Action	Method
Add to queue	Right-click a song in any list → Add to Play Queue
Remove song	Right-click in the queue → Remove
Clear queue	Click the Clear button at the bottom of the queue
Reorder	Drag songs in the queue to rearrange

TIP

The play queue is saved locally and will be restored when you restart the app.

Play Modes

EchoMusic supports multiple play modes. Click the mode button on the player bar to switch:

Mode	Icon	Description
Sequential	▶️	Plays the queue in order, stops after finishing
List Loop	🔁	Plays the queue in order, loops from the beginning after finishing
Single Loop	🔂	Repeats the current song
Shuffle	🔀	Shuffles the queue randomly

Speed Control

Supports playback speed from 0.5x to 2.0x:

1. Click the speed button on the player bar
2. Select your desired playback speed
3. 1.0x is normal speed

Use cases:

• 0.5x - 0.75x: Learning song details, singing practice
• 1.25x - 1.5x: Quick browsing of songs
• 2.0x: Fast skimming

Crossfade

EchoMusic supports smooth crossfade transitions:

• When switching tracks, the current song fades out while the next fades in
• Creates a natural transition, reducing jarring cuts
• Adjust crossfade duration in Audio Settings

Mini Mode

Mini Mode shrinks the player into a compact mini window, ideal for saving screen space while listening in the background:

• Click the Mini Mode button on the title bar to switch
• Mini window displays only the cover, song/artist name, and basic playback controls
• The window stays always on top and can be dragged to reposition
• Click the mini window to restore the full interface

Use cases:

• Save screen space while working
• Minimize visual distractions when paired with desktop lyrics
• Keep music control within reach during multitasking
